SHA developed a win-win solution for the District of Hope, JJM Construction and Oxford Properties by arranging the transfer of over 300,000 m3 of waste from Norampac paper mill to complete final grades at Hope.  The unique deal brokered by SHA involved JJM Construction financing the construction of a $4 million landfill cap, constructing an advanced leachate treatment system that has brought the District of Hope back into compliance and restored Shadbolt Creek from a rusty sludge filled waterway to a clean flowing stream.  SHA completed all of the engineering design and permitting for this fast paced award winning project, which included the design of a transfer station.
