Sperling
Hansen Associates Inc. is an engineering consultancy specialized in providing
solid waste management services to municipal and corporate clients. The
company was formed in 1995 by Dr. Tony Sperling and Poul Hansen, past
president of Highland Valley Copper, one of the largest copper mines in
the world.
Located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the company presently
has a team of
qualified engineers and scientists with skills and experience to complete
even the most demanding environmental management related projects including
landfill design; site selection; operation and closure plans; transfer
station design and operation plans; annual report preparation; leachate
collection systems; wastewater treatment and pump stations; landfill fire
extinguishments and risk management and training; landfill gas control
and utilization; environmental assessment and monitoring studies; environmental
geochemistry; geotechnical engineering and engineering design.
